Courage Reins Farm Board of Directors
President: Miriam Ahearn
Nurse Miriam, as the kids like to call her, has been a registered nurse for over 25 years. Initially, she started her career in Oncology, then moved into the Emergency Department of a major metropolitan hospital for the next 18 years. After working as an elementary school nurse in Monroe, Washington, Miriam now works as a Hospice nurse.
Miriam has four daughters: Kirstin, Lainey, Briana and Courtney. Kirstin and Lainey were very involved in Horse 4-H where Miriam served as the club leader for four years. Courtney is currently involved in 4-H with her pony Northern. She Belongs to Evergreen Riders. Lainey trains and participates in 3-day events with her Irish Thoroughbred, Aidan.
Beth Rosenzweig
Beth was born in Longview, Washington. She grew up in Seattle, attended the University of Washington and has been a teacher, Vice Principal and Principal since 1977.
She is currently living in Bothell where she has resided with her husband, Shaun Evans, since 1986. Shaun retired in June, 2008, after teaching junior high physical education for 35 years. They do not have children, but their Cocker Spaniels, Zoe and Stella, run the household. Beth met Miriam in 2001 when she was the Principal of Frank Wagner Elementary School in Monroe, and Miriam was the school's nurse.
Beth loves to cook, garden and travel. She and Shaun are currently running a Bed & Breakfast, Eason Estates, associated with their historic home. Beth said, "I was honored when Miriam asked me to be involved with Courage Reins Farm and feel privileged to be on the Board of Directors."
