At Courage Reins Farm horses help children experiencing cancer find hope and courage amidst life's hardships.
Courage Reins Farm was created to foster hope and courage in the lives of children. To our knowledge, Courage Reins Farm is the only non-profit organization of its type in Washington State. What makes it unique is that some of the horses living on the farm have been rescued from hardship and neglect.
Unlike traditional therapeutic riding centers, all children who come to Courage Reins Farm are experiencing cancer in their lives. Children are given private lessons best suited to their individual needs. Instead of being lost in a group, children receive individual support and attention from volunteers who share in their private tears and personal victories.
All experiences on the farm are free-of-charge to the participants.
All of us at Courage Reins Farm would like to say a huge thank you to all of the people in the work-party who came out on a VERY hot Saturday to do some work at the farm! Your hard work cleaning the fence-line with the weed-wackers and machetes (and a smile!) is much appreciated! The farm looks wonderful!
